Hide The King!

Two teams. Two hide-and-seeks. One very loud King.

Hide the King is a chaotic multiplayer stealth party game where Guards must protect an allergy-prone King while Assassins hide inside the castle and wait for the perfect moment to strike.

At the start of each round, the Guards have 30 seconds to hide the King before the Assassins breach the castle. But hiding him is only half the job. Guards must also patrol the castle, inspect suspicious wardrobes, barrels, beds, and hay carts, place traps, and cut down any Assassin caught in the open.

The King has one small problem: his allergies are terrible.

While hidden, the King’s Allergy Bar slowly fills. If it reaches full, he sneezes loudly and gives the Assassins a clue to his location. Guards can move him before that happens, but moving the King makes him exposed and vulnerable.

Assassins begin hidden somewhere inside the castle. They must sneak between hiding spots, avoid being seen, use smoke and invisibility, and inspect possible hiding places to force the King out. Once the King is exposed, one clean attack is all it takes.

Protect the King. Hunt the shadows. Or become the shadow.

How to Play

Guards

Hide the King before the Assassins arrive. Watch his Allergy Bar, move him before he sneezes, inspect suspicious hiding spots, and attack any Assassin you catch in the open.

Assassins

Start hidden inside the castle. Move between hiding spots, use your abilities to avoid detection, inspect where you think the King is hiding, then attack him once he is revealed.

Win Conditions

Guards win if the King survives until time runs out.

Assassins win if they reveal and kill the King before the Guards can stop them.

Best with 2–6 players.
